Items in Grapher’s window can be “picked” or selected to reveal information about the plot item and, in the case of individual colors, it’s name, device values and Lab values.

Just Control-Click (Mac and Windows) to pick items.

Picking a Grapher element works for color lists and profiles in the Grapher.

Color lists:

Picking a color list will display information present in the color list file, such as device values, Lab values.

Profiles:

Picking a profile will display the name, the type of ICC profile, the color space and any details concerning how the profile is displayed in the Grapher.

Images:

Picking does not function for pixels of images brought into the Grapher. However an image can be opened into the Worksheet, and then be sampled using a grid or by extracting unique color values to create a color list. This color list can then be opened into the Grapher for Picking.
