TroubleShooting Measuring

i1Pro / iO - Failing calibration, connection or measuring

  • i1Pro requires significant power and when used without the iO, can fail calibration and taking measurements when connected to a USB hub (powered or unpowered) or even directly connected to some PCs. Try changing the cable to a shorter one and directly connecting to a known-good USB port on your computer.

  • The iO has also had problems with the same type of connection (even though it’s self powered)

iO Measurement Problems

  • Make sure you select iO as the instrument type and not i1Pro - sometimes our software can connect to the i1Pro through the iO (it’s a USB hub) and mislead you into believing you’re properly connected to the iO
